Equal Voices is a six-voice professional a cappella ensemble that performs a wide range of styles including jazz, pop, world, folk, chant, and Renaissance madrigals. But our specialty is contemporary classical vocal music, emphasizing the works of living composers. We perform concerts, teach workshops, and masterclasses.

These six equal voices bring roughly two centuries of vocal experience to the stage, with dozens of professional ensembles throughout the world. All perform regularly as classical soloists in tuxedos or gowns but they've also enjoyed jamming and recording with the likes of Bobby McFerrin and They Might Be Giants. Recent tours have taken us to Ohio, North Carolina and Tokyo, Japan. In New York's musical circles, they are the singers everyone wants to sing with: they combine rich voices with solid musicianship, a profound respect for the ensemble sound, and a quick wit. Why the name? Because these six singers are equally gifted, and equal to any challenge.
